Mission Statement

The mission of the Halifax Youth and
Recreation Department is to enhance
the quality of life in the Town of Halifax by
offering programs and services, in a
co-operative spirit, that encourages
participation in recreation, sport, leisure,
and cultural activities while carefully
promoting and utilizing the open space,
water, conservation, and recreational
resources or facilities available in the
community.
